Established in Genk in 1974, this company is the largest manufacturing site in the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East & Africa) of a Japanese industrial group. With more than 500 employees, it develops and manufactures sealing materials and a wide range of industrial adhesive tapes—such as double-sided tapes and surface protection tapes—serving sectors including automotive, semiconductors, furniture, paper production, aerospace, and metal processing.

We are looking for an OT & Automation Engineer with a passion for technology, innovation, and digitalization who enjoys diving into complex topics. Together with the IT/OT team, you will contribute to the modernization of our industrial network and work on integration with other systems such as SCADA, MES, HMI, DCS, and IIoT. You will join a team of OT and IT Engineers under the leadership of an IT/OT Manager.

As an OT & Automation Engineer, your responsibilities include:
- Managing and creating our industrial/OT network
- Installing and configuring various SCADA systems for real-time production monitoring
- Developing user interfaces with HMI for easy machine operation
- Managing PCs, servers, and desktops in our production environment, including troubleshooting and optimizing SCADA, HMI, and DCS
- Managing organizational data using industrial systems and dashboard tools
Expérience requise
A successful OT & Automation Engineer has:
- A passion for technology and an interest in production environments
- Familiarity with OT architecture (software, server, and network setup), industrial networks, SCADA, HMI, DCS, IIoT, and industrial data protocols such as OPC UA
- A relevant master's degree or equivalent
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with other departments
- Excellent analytical skills and creativity in problem-solving
- A strong interest in continuous learning and innovation in the above areas
We will also consider automation engineers that are willing to deep dive in OT.
Good knowledge of the Dutch language is a requirement.
