Our client is a well known systems security and network provider. They plays a strategic role in enabling secure and high-performance connectivity, cloud solutions, and cybersecurity frameworks.
They are located near central station in Brussels.
Thay want to hire a Information Security Architect that bridges the gap between operational security and security architecture. The role ensures that systems and security solutions are resilient, scalable, and aligned with industry best practices.
Job description
- Design and maintain secure architectures for infrastructure, cloud, applications, and identity services.
- Provide high-level technical support and troubleshooting for complex security incidents and system issues.
- Advise on security technologies including SIEM, EDR, firewalls, IAM, PAM, and cloud-native security tools.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and operations teams to embed security into system designs and processes.
- Evaluate and recommend new security tools and technologies based on organizational needs.
- Define and maintain security reference architectures, standards, and best practices.
- Support compliance efforts (e.g., ISO 27001, NIS 2, GDPR) through architectural guidance and documentation.
- Conduct risk assessments, security reviews, and threat modeling at the architectural level for new systems and changes.
- Assist in the development of automated provisioning, monitoring, and incident response processes.
Required experience
Profile Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- At least 6 years of experience in information security, including a minimum of 2 years as a security architect or engineer.
Technical and Core Competencies
- Familiarity with enterprise security architecture frameworks (e.g., Zero Trust Network Architecture, NIST CSF).
- Knowledge of standards and frameworks such as ISO/IEC 27001/27002 and MITRE ATT&CK.
- Hands-on experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP), IAM/PAM, network and endpoint protection.
- Proficiency with SIEM and monitoring tools (e.g., Microsoft Sentinel, Elastic Stack, Splunk, QRadar), and understanding of incident response.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles including threat modeling, zero trust, and defense-in-depth.
- Understanding of cryptography and key management.
- Strong communication and documentation skills; capable of explaining complex security topics to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to assess and prioritize risks based on business impact.
- Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving security issues.
Assets
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, AWS/Azure security certifications.
- Native Dutch OR French speaker with strong proficiency in the other national language and English.
