Job description

As Teamlead Managed Services, you will be responsible for leading, motivating and developing a team of experienced IT infrastructure experts. You will ensure the continuity of existing services, strive for innovation and improvement within the department, and facilitate the development of new services that meet the needs of customers. You work closely with other departments and report to the management. 

The Managed Services department facilitate and secure the use of the network and the internet. Examples: Domain Name Registration, DNS/DNSSEC, Certificates, Antispam, Cloud Storage, Filesender...

Within Managed Services, the Teamlead:
- Through his leadership, attitude and vision, motivate the team to commit to the operational objectives, the progress of which will be monitored in a standardised manner. 
- Ensure clear and open communication, both within the team and with various external stakeholders, structured reporting and providing ongoing feedback to team members.
- Encourage teamwork and exchange of ideas and promote team commitment to the services provided, clearly dividing responsibilities and workload, taking into account the continuity of service and associated safety measures.
- Make informed decisions in line with the organisation's strategic objectives and address problems immediately.
- Ensuring the continuous training of the team so that skills always remain in conformity with the latest developments in the market.
- Create a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team. 
- Keep his/her knowledge up to date and actively monitor the various evolutions in the field of ICT.

Required experience

  • University degree or bachelor's degree in IT
  • Leadership experience within a technical IT department
  • Technical experience within the IT infrastructure domain: 
  1. Expertise in setting up, managing and tuning Linux (Ubuntu/Redhat) systems
  2. Recommending and configuring security measures on systems (antivirus, anti-malware, logfile analysis, securing OS,...)
  3. Skills in scripting languages such as Python, Bash and Perl for automation tasks
  4. Good knowledge of and experience with virtualisation platforms (KVM, Proxmox, VMware ...)
  5. Experience with monitoring and performance management platforms such as Nagios, Zabbix, ...
  6. Knowledge of network topologies and protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.
  7. Experience with Storage and data management systems such as SAN, NAS, backup systems and databases 
  8. Generic Cloud computing competencies (cloud platforms and cloud management)
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders.
  •  Results-oriented with a strong focus on quality improvement and innovation.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Project and process management concepts (PRINCE2, ITIL,...)
  • French-speaking with a good knowledge of English, knowledge of the Dutch lanaguage is an asset
